Hello! I’m Steph Manuel, a Filipino illustrator based in Manila. My work is characterized by textured, painterly compositions and clean, stylized shapes rooted in real places, memory, and the natural world.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, I spent over a decade working as a designer and illustrator across publishing, marketing, and tech. Over time, I found myself gravitating back to picture book illustration, where my love for images and storytelling first began. I now focus on narrative and non-fiction illustration inspired by my travels and lived experiences.

Outside of illustration, I enjoy cooking and baking for my loved ones, often recreating childhood favorites and dishes I’ve loved from my travels.
